Medical Physicist, Radiation Therapy & Oncology MD Anderson

Baptist Health is hiring a Medical Physicist to join our Radiation Oncology team at Baptist MD Anderson in Jacksonville, FL.This is a full-time day shift opportunity.

• Collaborating with Radiation Oncologists and Medical Dosimetrists to design complex radiation therapy plans
• Performing initial and ongoing weekly reviews of patient treatment charts, beam calibration calculations, and computer treatment plans
• Direct clinical involvement during high precision or specialized radiation treatments (HDR, brachytherapy, SRS)
• Performing daily, monthly, and annual quality control calibrations on linear accelerators and CT simulators.
• Ensuring facility operations adhere to Florida Administrative Code for control of radiation and Florida DoH standards.

• 1-2 Years Clinical Experience Required

• Masters Degree Required
• Board Certifications Required

Masters Degree (MA/MS) - Science in Physics

• Experience with Treatment Planning
• Exp with patient treatment on a linear accelerator/CT Simulation
• Brachytherapy Experience
• Total Body Irradiation/Total Skin Electron
• Board Certified in Radiology - A
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA
