Medical Collections Specialist at Houston Physicians HospitalThe Medical Collections Specialist is responsible for proper communication with patients, staff, and management regarding account status. Generates patient account statements, maintains accounts receivable files, and follow up on collection of receivables. Responsible for ensuring claims are billed timely with accurate coding. Communicates with appropriate staff to ensure all charges are being captures through proper documentation. Reviews financial obligation with patient and family member.
Qualifications:- High School graduate required
- Two years of medical facility or medical business office experience preferred
- Proficient in MS Office applications which include Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Good communication skills over the phone and through writing
