** Scope/Position Summary
** The Associate Director, Quality & Education provides strategic leadership, direction, and oversight of the enterprise-wide Quality Management System (QMS), education, competency, regulatory readiness, and continuous improvement programs for Central Sterile Supply (CSS) across The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. This position is responsible for developing and sustaining a culture of quality, patient safety, regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and professional development through standardized quality systems, evidence-based education, and continuous performance improvement.

Reporting directly to the System Director of Central Sterile Supply, the Associate Director serves as the leader responsible for integrating quality assurance, quality control, accreditation readiness, competency management, regulatory compliance, and staff education into daily operations across all CSS locations. The position collaborates closely with Perioperative Services, Infection Prevention, Quality & Patient Safety, Risk Management, Supply Chain, Clinical Engineering, Nursing Leadership, and physician partners to establish standardized practices that support safe, reliable, and efficient instrument processing throughout the health system.

The Associate Director is accountable for developing enterprise quality strategies, establishing departmental quality metrics and key performance indicators, overseeing competency validation and educational programming, directing internal audit programs, leading regulatory survey readiness, facilitating corrective and preventive action initiatives, and promoting evidence-based practice utilizing nationally recognized standards including AAMI, ANSI, AORN, CDC, FDA, OSHA, CMS, and Joint Commission requirements. This leader promotes a culture of continuous learning, accountability, innovation, and operational excellence while supporting the Medical Center's missions of patient care, education, and research.
** Minimum Qualifications
** Bachelor's Degree in a health related field required. Current Healthcare Sterile Processing Association, formerly International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management, or Certification Board for Sterile Processing Certification. 5 years of relevant experience required. 8-12 years of relevant experience preferred.## Additional Information:##
