Direct Care Staff Transition Inc

Support individuals recovering from mental health and substance use disorders in completing daily treatment tasks, facility routines, and activities of daily living. Core responsibilities include providing client supervision, observing self-administration of medications, conducting safety checks, transporting clients via company van, and maintaining a secure, peaceful, and rehabilitative residential environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Client Care & Supervision: Assist residents with daily routines, treatment activities, and skill development; observe and document self-administration of medication and maintain accurate medication counts.
• Facility Safety & Operations: Conduct client intakes, safety counts, searches, and housing inspections; enforce sanitation standards and facility policies; respond calmly to incidents and emergency situations.
• Transportation & Documentation: Transport clients to approved appointments and community activities using a 15-passenger van; maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR), daily logs, and safety reports.

Requirements:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required (1 year of college or vocational school preferred).
• Licensing & Driving Record: Valid Florida driver’s license required; must have held a valid driver’s license for at least five (5) consecutive years.
• Experience & Credentials: Prior experience in behavioral health, substance use services, or residential direct care preferred;
  Certified Behavioral Health Technician (CBHT) preferred.
• Core Competencies & Physical Demands: Strong stress management and de-escalation skills; ability to lift/move items over 50 lbs, remain active throughout shift, and navigate residential facility environments safely.
