- 4:30 p.m.) - must be able to attend full days during those two weeks Part-Time/Full-Time Opportunities Available Must Work a Minimum of 24 Hours per Week Day, Evening, and Night Shifts Available Weekend/Holidays Required by Department

Complete 175 hours of training to meet the requirements set forth by the State of Missouri Department of health and Senior Services, which states:
Hospitals may only employ unlicensed assistive personnel (UAP) in accordance with this rule. Upon successful completion of the program Trainee will move into a Patient Care Technician role.

• Attend every scheduled session to complete 75 hours of classroom training.
• Complete 100 hours of clinical practicum under the direction of the class trainer / department preceptor.
• Demonstrate competence in all areas of basic patient care skills.
• Performs Other Responsibilities as Assigned.
• As a Patient Care Technician, you will learn: direct patient care under the supervision of the nurse, promoting patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
• Administers or assists patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADL), performs vital signs (VS), intake and output (I&O), fall and pressure ulcer prevention measures, foley care, phlebotomy, or point of care testing as requested.
• Collects clinical data and information on patients, and reports changes in patient status to the nurse.
• Assists nurse with patient and family education.
• Documents all patient care activities provided.
