Position Overview- The Director of Marketing and Business Development (DMBD) is primarily responsible for the planning and execution of all marketing efforts including public relations, marketing, and sales, to ensure full occupancy of the facility.
- Manages and directs the staff in the Marketing and Business Development Department to achieve budgeted volume goals for average daily census and admissions.
- Provided administration with summaries and recommendations from market research evaluations. Coordinates the production and placement of advertisements.
- Works in conjunction with clinical leadership to develop and promote new programs and services. Key responsibilities include managing and strategically directing all the functions of the Marketing and Admissions department, developing individual clinical liaison goals and monitoring results for sales calls, referrals, admissions, and out-patients visits, develops, and conducts ongoing marketing/sales training for marketing teams.
- Licensed as a Nurse or Therapist, PT, OT, or SLP required. Pharmaceutical sales experience a plus.
- Experience working in the medical environment promoting programs and services.
- Ability to build strong relationships in an assigned territory utilizing clinical and selling skills.
- Passionate patient advocate assisting in the referral to admission process.
- Strong clinical skills with a mindset for business development.
