Job Description The Resident Assistant/Personal Care Aide (PCA) provides quality care and assistance with activities of daily living to residents of the community.###

Job Responsibilities
* Report incidents involving residents, including care concerns or issues, to the appropriate individuals, such as the HCD, RN/LPN, or Executive Director.
* Maintain a working knowledge of all policies and procedures pertaining to the position.
* Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs).
* Perform housekeeping duties as directed by the supervisor, including making resident beds and cleaning resident apartments, common areas, dining rooms, and other assigned spaces.
* Respond promptly to all resident calls for assistance and emergency alerts.
* Remain calm and demonstrate competence when responding to emergency situations.
* Assist with planning and conducting activity programs for residents.
* Follow all confidentiality policies and procedures regarding the release of resident information.
* Assist residents to and from the dining room and activities.
* Conduct regular resident checks and ensure residents attend scheduled meals and activities.
* Check on residents who are ill and report their status or any concerns to the appropriate individuals.
* Communicate verbally and in writing to report resident status, upcoming community information, resident appointments, admissions, and transfers.
* Assist new residents with their move-in transition by providing emotional support and helping them adjust to the community.
* Perform other duties as assigned.### Requirements
* Must possess a High School Diploma or GED.
* Must have successfully completed an approved Personal Care Aide program in accordance with applicable state regulations.
* Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
* Must be organized and able to work effectively with all levels of personnel.
* Must be a contributing member of the nursing team and follow the instructions of the supervisor.
* Must be polite, respectful, and considerate of residents, visitors, and co-workers at all times.
* Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
* Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and push or carry up to 25 pounds.
* Must be able to safely lift and transfer residents while maintaining proper body mechanics.
* Must wear the designated uniform during working hours, including a name badge.
* Must be CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain certification within 60 days of hire.
* Must be able to represent the community in a positive and professional manner.
* Must attend and complete all required in-service training and staff meetings.
* Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
