Bilingual Therapist-Clinical Latina

Coastal Horizons Center, Inc. is seeking a compassionate and experienced Bilingual Therapist - Spanish/English to provide clinical services to adults and adolescents experiencing substance use, mental health, and co-occurring disorders.

Job Title: Bilingual Therapist - Spanish/English

Location: Shallotte, NC
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, Full-Time

Position Summary

The Bilingual Therapist provides diagnostic, psychosocial, substance use evaluations, treatment planning, and professional counseling for clients with complex behavioral health needs. Services include individual, group, and family counseling, case management, crisis intervention, and coordination with community partners.

Fluency in Spanish and English is required.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct clinical interviews, psychosocial assessments, substance use evaluations, and treatment planning.
• Provide individual, group, and family counseling using appropriate therapeutic approaches.
• Provide counseling and crisis intervention for clients experiencing complex substance use, mental health, and co-occurring disorders.
• Assist clients with accessing resources related to housing, food, employment, education, transportation, healthcare, and other needs.
• Monitor client attendance, behavior, payment status, and testing results.
• Coordinate services with families, schools, employers, TASC, DSS, judicial systems, and other community agencies.
• Maintain timely, accurate, and complete clinical and program documentation.
• Participate in clinical supervision, case staffing, team meetings, trainings, and professional development.
• Provide community education and professional services to emergency, judicial, institutional, and community referrals.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, families, coworkers, supervisors, and community partners.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in human services or a related field and two years of progressive substance use counseling experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Master's degree in clinical psychology, substance use treatment, or a related clinical field.
• LCSW preferred, or appropriate NCSAPPB licensure/certification or registration, including LCAS, CSAC, LPA, LPC, or P-LCSW.
• Fluency in Spanish and English required.
• Knowledge of substance use, mental health, and co-occurring disorders.
• Strong clinical assessment, counseling, documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
