About Midwife Assistant Position Job Northern Kentucky USA,Healthcare

The Midwives of New Jersey are seeking a compassionate and organized Midwife Assistant to support both the administrative and clinical operations of our midwifery practice. This hybrid role plays a key part in ensuring smooth, efficient, and welcoming care from the front desk to the birth room. The ideal candidate will be personable, detail-oriented, and passionate about client-centered, respectful care for women and their families.

Location:

Madison, NJ office, with flexibility to travel to satellite office locations

Job Type:

Full-Time/Part-Time

Key Responsibilities:

Greet clients warmly and manage front desk operations
Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and manage email communications
Schedule and confirm client appointments
Maintain client records and ensure confidentiality
Maintain office supplies and cleanliness of office
Provide support during labor/birth/immediate postpartum to clients and their partners, as well as Midwife and nursing staff
Capture photos/videos for clients during labor/birth/immediate postpartum and create slideshow
Basic phlebotomy (training provided)

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Basic Life Saving (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications (or willingness to obtain)
Doula Training (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
Reliable, punctual, and able to multitask effectively

Preferred:

Experience in maternal health, birth work, or clinical assistance
Familiarity with birth center or home birth settings
Experience with electronic health records (EHR)
Will involve evening/weekend hours and on-call availability
Collaborative team environment with a strong client-centered focus
