Baptist Health is hiring a Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI)
Supervisor, to join our Clinical Documentation Integrity team in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full‑time day shift opportunity.

The Clinical Documentation Integrity team partners with providers and healthcare team members to ensure clinical documentation accurately and comprehensively reflects the patient’s diagnoses, treatment, clinical decisions, and overall care. The Supervisor, CDI provides leadership and education across the CDI process, monitors program compliance, and identifies opportunities to improve documentation quality. This role does not include direct patient care or patient interaction.

• Collaborate with providers and healthcare team members to improve the accuracy and completeness of clinical documentation.
• Provide leadership and support for Clinical Documentation Integrity practices, processes, and initiatives across the assigned service area.
• Provide ongoing CDI education to new staff, providers, and healthcare team members, including education related to new initiatives and identified knowledge gaps.
• Monitor, track, and trend CDI program compliance to identify opportunities for improvement and targeted education.
• Utilize clinical expertise, CDI practices, and facility‑specific tools to promote documentation accuracy, compliance, and best practices.
• Support the development and implementation of CDI education and process improvement initiatives in alignment with Baptist Health standards, goals, and Core Values.
• Serve as a resource for CDI‑related questions and support ongoing professional development and competency within the team.

• 3–5 years of experience working in an acute care setting (Required)
• 1–2 years of Clinical Documentation experience. (Required)
• Minimum of 4 years of acute care nursing experience. (Required)

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) (Required)
• Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) (Required)
• Certified Documentation Improvement Professional (CDIP)
• Certified Coding Specialist (CCS).

Collaborates with providers and other healthcare team members to make improvements that result in accurate, comprehensive documentation that reflects completely, the clinical treatment, decisions, and diagnoses for the patient Utilizes clinical expertise and clinical documentation improvement practices and facility specific tools for best practice and compliance with the mission/philosophy, standards, goals, and core values of Baptist Health Does not have patient care duties, does not have direct patient interactions, and has no role relative to patient care.

Involved in the education of all phases of the Clinical Documentation process across a service area Provides ongoing Clinical Documentation Improvement education for new staff and new initiatives or identified areas of knowledge deficit Tracks and trends program compliance to determine areas of focus for educational opportunities Minimum of four years’ experience in acute care nursing experience, leadership experience preferred.
