Key ResponsibilitiesConduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients to understand their health history, current physical limitations, and rehabilitation needs.
Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices, utilizing techniques such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities tailored to each individual.
Monitor patient progress closely, making modifications to treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery and adjustment to therapy.
Educate patients and their families on injury prevention strategies, promote understanding of rehabilitation processes, and provide guidance for post-treatment care.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of orthopedic surgeons, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in compliance with clinic policies and regulations, ensuring a clear record of treatment and progress.
Stay informed of current developments in physical therapy practices and maintain continuing education to enhance your clinical skills and professional knowledge.
In this role, you will cater to a wide range of patients, including athletes returning to sport performance, individuals recovering from post-surgical orthopedic procedures, and adults managing chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Each day, you may treat 5-7 patients, with conditions spanning from spinal disorders to extremity injuries. Your ability to adapt therapy to varying levels of patient motivation and capabilities will be essential in achieving successful rehabilitation outcomes.
QualificationsA valid Physical Therapist License to practice in Florida.
A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or a Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
A minimum of two years of direct experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is preferred, though new graduates with relevant clinical rotations in orthopedics are encouraged to apply.
Strong foundational skills in therapeutic techniques including manual therapy and functional movement assessments.
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, ensuring patient education and collaboration are prioritized.
While we welcome applicants at various experience levels, preference will be given to candidates with experience managing complex orthopaedic cases, knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems, and proficiency in the use of contemporary therapeutic modalities.
Compensation and BenefitsEmerald Valley PT offers a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, based on experience and performance.
