You will work primarily onsite in a state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility that prioritizes patient comfort and accessibility. Our facility is designed to promote healing through advanced therapeutic modalities, offering a positive and collaborative atmosphere. Our team emphasizes teamwork, and as a Physical Therapist, you will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to devise and implement patient-centered treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Physical Therapist, you will:

  • Evaluate patient needs by conducting thorough assessments and developing personalized treatment plans based on physician referrals.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions utilizing evidence-based practices to maximize patient outcomes across a variety of specialties, including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine.
  • Provide quality care with an emphasis on improving functional abilities through targeted therapies, modality use, and active patient engagement.
  • Offer education and training to patients and their caregivers, ensuring a clear understanding of their treatment and expected outcomes.
  • Document patient progress and adapt treatment strategies in collaboration with the broader healthcare team to align with the physician's plan of care.
  • Maintain an exemplary standard of customer service, positively impacting the overall effectiveness of the rehabilitation process.
  • Achieve minimum utilization goals while contributing to organizational objectives and maintaining productivity.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients you will serve range widely in age and recuperative needs, from children recovering from sports injuries to adults rehabilitating after surgeries or managing chronic conditions. Your holistic approach will center on building strong therapeutic relationships that empower patients to exceed their functional goals. The diverse patient demographics at our facility provide enriching opportunities to apply your skills across various clinical settings and methodologies.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE-accredited program.
  • A valid State License to practice Physical Therapy in Florida.
  • A Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to ensure effective interaction with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in word processing and other computer skills relevant to modern healthcare practices.
  • A strong desire to connect with and positively impact the lives of patients through comprehensive, compassionate care.
Preferred Experience

While we value all applicants, candidates with at least two years of direct experience in a physical therapy setting, preferably with knowledge in diverse treatment methodologies and patient care strategies, will be given preference. A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) and current CPR certification will also enhance your candidacy.
