Utah Partners for Health is looking for a PRN Pharmacist to help the pharmacy team fill out our schedule and ensure a continuum of care that isn't interrupted by illness, emergencies or vacations, ensuring our patients are taken care of and our team continues to have a great work-life balance.

- Provide leadership and supervision to pharmacy staff.
- Assist the PIC for hiring decision, training, assigning and directing work, and enforcing workplace policies
- Reviews prescriptions to assure accuracy, to ascertain the needed ingredients, and to evaluate their suitability. Provides information and advice regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and proper storage.
- Maintain proper and accurate records such as pharmacy files, patient profiles, charge system files, inventories, control records for dispensing of narcotics and controlled drugs.
- Plans, implements, and maintains procedures for mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals according to policy and legal requirements to ensure quality, security, and proper disposal.
- Provides specialized services to help patients manage conditions such as diabetes, asthma, smoking cessation, and high blood pressure. Offers health promotion and prevention activities by, for example, training people to use devices such as blood pressure and diabetes monitors. Advises customers on the selection of medication brands, medical equipment, and health care supplies.
- Resolves compliance and regulatory discrepancies
- Resolves customer complaints in a prompt and confident manner
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Ensure the maintenance of financial control through conservative use of inventories and supplies (prevent loss and deterioration). Monitor inventory control, inventory turns and operation efficiency.
- Maintain complete adherence to all HIPAA regulations and uphold strict patient confidentiality
- Consult regularly with the PIC for the purpose of expediting the processing of prescriptions
- Report any practitioner or employee in violation of controlled substance, abuse of drugs, or theft.
- Perform other duties, as required, to support the UPFH Departments
