The Lodge at Mammoth Cave (MCNP ONP, LLC) operates a variety of Food Services, Retail, Lodging and Bus Transportation within the beautiful National Park! We have over 50 guest rooms ranging from standard guest rooms, historic cottages and brand new cabins! We're the only lodging option within the National Park! If you are looking for a unique place to work and have a passion for providing customer service, this is the spot for you this summer!
Must be able to work both shifts as needed:
- Days 7a-3p
- Evenings 2p-10p
- Efficiently and professionally handle guest reservations and room assignments
- Provide relevant information for all guest tours and company-sponsored programs relating to the Park
- Continually present guest programs with a positive and pleasant demeanor to enhance the guest experience
- Respond calmly and professionally to all guest complaints resolving issues as appropriate and escalating to management when necessary
- Prepare daily deposit, drop receipts and follow all company cash handling procedures
- Follow all specified procedures to audit the shift closing of all front office
- Produce accurate and timely reports and correctly handle all cash transactions.
- Follow all specified procedures to maintain and post a daily balance of all house accounts, including running preliminary reconciliations, detail transactions and final reports to accounting and profit centers.
- Balance and audit for accurate room revenue, food and beverage revenue, cashier’s reports, guest and house accounts and telephone revenue, assisting the preparation of all reports relevant to daily revenues.
- Act as Manager on Duty during overnight hours.
- Perform all Front Desk Attendant functions as required including but not limited to; assist in room reservations, guest check in/out, answering hotel phone calls, and notifying guests of messages.
- This is an overnight position; employee must be able to work independently
- Present a positive image of the company in an upbeat, professional manner
- Ability to work a variety of day, night, weekend and holiday shifts
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact, in a positive way, with many different personality styles
- Advanced computer skills – Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Room Master
- Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
