The Hotel Valet Manager is responsible for overseeing all valet parking operations and guest service interactions at the hotel. This role serves as the primary liaison between hotel management and the valet team, ensuring efficient vehicle flow, exceptional guest experiences, and adherence to safety and operational standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise valet attendants and shift leads.
- Foster a positive, professional, and customer‑focused work environment.
- Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions in accordance with company policy.
- Monitor employee productivity and service standards to ensure operational excellence.
- Guest Experience
- Ensure all guests receive prompt, courteous, and professional service.
- Create a welcoming first and last impression for hotel guests and visitors.
- Address and resolve guest concerns related to parking, vehicle handling, and valet services in a timely and professional manner.
- Operational Oversight
- Manage daily valet operations, including vehicle intake, storage, retrieval, and traffic flow.
- Monitor hotel entrance activity to minimize guest wait times and maintain smooth operations.
- Assist with parking and vehicle retrieval during peak business periods or staffing shortages.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure proper handling of guest vehicles.
- Monitor valet revenue, ticket reconciliation, and cash‑handling procedures, when applicable.
- Maintain accurate operational reports, including vehicle counts, staffing levels, and service metrics.
- Assist in developing labor schedules that align with occupancy levels and business demands.
- Safety & Compliance
- Enforce valet safety procedures and operational standards to prevent accidents and vehicle damage.
- Monitor compliance with hotel policies, local traffic regulations, and company procedures.
- Investigate and document vehicle damage claims, guest incidents, and safety concerns.
- Maintain proper incident reporting and follow‑up procedures.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proven commitment to exceptional customer service.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
- Ability to stand, walk, and run for extended periods.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to bend, stoop, and enter/exit vehicles repeatedly throughout the shift.
This position requires working in an active outdoor and hotel entrance environment with frequent interaction with guests, hotel staff, and valet personnel. Flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, may be required based on business needs.
