Greenbo Lake State Resort Park is seeking to hire a Resort Park Manager I. The park is located in northeast Kentucky in Greenup County. The Park includes a 36 room hotel named in honor of Jesse Hilton Stuart ), indoor and outdoor meeting venues, The Angler’s Cove restaurant, a marina, fishing and boating, a 79 site campground, outdoor tennis courts, multi-use trails, a lodge pool, community pool, 225 acre lake, outdoor theatre, miniature golf.
The Resort Park Manager I fills a key leadership role at this park and is the main director of all facilities and amenities. Moreover, the Park Manager works closely with the local communities to enhance tourism opportunities for the betterment of the region. PrimaryDuties
- Assists in overseeing the resort’s operations and providing a safe, comfortable environment for our guests and staff.
- Monitors guest experiences and staff interactions and reinforces a welcoming and hospitable culture. Acts as primary advocate for achieving desired customer service goals by monitoring the day-to-day status of the Net Promoter Score and other metrics of measurement. Works together with the Jenny Wiley Team Supervisors and Staff to set customer service goals. Reports customer service trends to staff. Works with all departments to improve customer experience.
- Assist in the development of the budget with the Park Business Manager, Central Office Directors, and the Parks Regional Administrator with special emphasis on all amenities.
- Works with group sales director, front desk supervisor, and dining operations to explore new opportunities for growth to increase revenue with adhering to budgetary goals.
- Works with the campground/boat dock supervisor to increase occupancy and revenues.
- Acts as lead team member, working toward the goals of strong fiscal management with all departments.
- Act as a communication leader with all staff and supervisors. Be actively involved in all park departmental meetings. And, be actively involved with local communities for tourism development.

EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR
SKILLS:
Must have five years of business administration, public administration or management experience.
Substitute EDUCATION for
EXPERIENCE:
Additional education in business administration, public administration or a related field will substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis.
Substitute EXPERIENCE for
EDUCATION:
Any combination of the following experience will substitute for the education on a year for year basis:
Experience as the general manager or as the food and beverage director of a full-service hotel or resort OR Related experience, which may include serving in hotel management areas, such as: serving as the rooms service manager, front desk manager, housekeeping manager, recreation/activities manager or maintenance manager of a major hotel chain or resort park. Designation as a Certified Hotel Administrator will substitute for one year of the education.
Must be 20 years and one day of age at time of employment. Must obtain S.T.A.R. (Server Training in Alcohol Regulations) certification from the Kentucky Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control within six months of employment. Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification. Employing agency is responsible for ensuring employee possesses and maintains required licensure(s), certification(s) or other credentials.
WorkingConditions
Primarily working throughout the park and on park grounds; will occasionally require office work.
Probationary PeriodThis job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 12 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
