Banquet Staff are responsible for the setup, service, and breakdown of private events, including weddings, corporate functions, group dining, backstage catering, VIP experiences, and concert hospitality. Team members provide exceptional guest service while ensuring each event is executed efficiently, safely, and according to event specifications.
Responsibilities- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness while adhering to all food safety and sanitation practices.
- Assist with the complete setup and breakdown of banquet and event spaces.
- Prepare event spaces by draping tables, arranging centerpieces, folding napkins, and setting tables according to Event Orders (EOs).
- Serve plated meals and assist with buffet service, including replenishing food items and beverages while accommodating guest dietary restrictions and special requests.
- Carry trays, transport food and beverage items safely, and maintain an organized service area throughout events.
- Clear china, glassware, flatware, linens, and other service items promptly at the conclusion of events.
- Assist with the cleaning, organization, and stocking of banquet storage areas and service equipment.
- Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly to requests or concerns, and provide exceptional hospitality in a professional and courteous manner.
- Work collaboratively with culinary, bar, and event operations teams to ensure seamless event execution.
- Follow all venue safety procedures and company policies while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support event operations.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout a shift, with reasonable accommodations where applicable.
- Ability to push or move large items, such as banquet carts or tables.
- Ability to stand and walk for 6–8 hours or longer, with reasonable accommodation where applicable.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Effective verbal communication skills; written communication skills are a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality service.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to work in a variety of venue environments, including stairs, elevators, crowded spaces, loud noise, flashing lights, and haze effects.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on event schedules.
- Previous banquet, restaurant, catering, or hospitality experience preferred.
This position works in banquet spaces, theatres, backstage areas, kitchens, dressing rooms, loading docks, and other event-related locations. The schedule varies based on performances, concerts, private events, and artist hospitality needs, requiring flexibility to meet operational demands.
