Lead, supervise, and direct the operations and financial activities of the hotel. Safeguard the asset. Help create, implement, and shape the culture of the Royal Inn Hotel on the property level for the associates and guests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Create and maintain a customer service driven hotel keeping the customer at the forefront and inspiring the associates to do their best.
- Oversee and direct all hotel departments, including front office, housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services ensuring consistent standards and a well-run operation.
- Monitor the quality process to ensure customer satisfaction by consistent delivery of both product quality and service.
- Tour and visually inspect property on a daily basis. Monitor property condition, cleanliness, cost control, and quality of product and service throughout hotel.
- Interview, hire, train, recommend performance evaluations, resolve problems, provide open communication, and recommend discipline and/or termination when appropriate.
- Participate in community affairs and maintain positive public image for the property.
- Meet with potential and current clients to promote hotel.
- Active role in the Sales and Revenue Management Strategy, positioning the hotel competitively in the market.
- Assist in the creation of the financial objectives of the hotel.
- Comply with all Royal Inn Hotel policies.
- Ensure compliance with local, state and federal policies and mandates.
- Maintain direct and transparent communication with ownership, providing weekly reporting including solutions-oriented recommendations.
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Hotel General Manager with experience across independent, boutique, or branded properties is essential.
- A proven record of improving hotel performance, including revenue generation, improved occupancy, ADR, Rev Par growth along with guest satisfaction measured by online review presence.
- Working knowledge of OTA distribution, online rate and reputation management.
- Must be a self-starter with the discipline and knowledge to drive results in the operation without big brand resources.
- Knowledge of hotel operations, safety and programs, human resource practices and labor relations, financial literacy creating and managing a budget, forecasting, P&L review and report preparation, repairs, maintenance, and long-range planning.
- Ability to stand and move throughout hotel property and continuously perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with associates, guests, owners, and community leaders.
- Base Salary is $70,000-$80,000 commensurate with experience.
