Transient Rooms Coordinator

Description

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Ensure that each guest receives outstanding guest service by providing a guest friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every guest, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of guest service.
• Employ operational and selling techniques to maximize occupancy levels and achieve the highest average rate possible.
• Provide accurate information regarding availability, guestroom types and accommodations, room rates, hotel facilities and services, local attractions/events, transportation to and from hotel, etc.; coordinate with sales, hotel departments and customers to ensure consistency, high level of service and implementing a smooth operation prior to the group’s arrival.
• Must possess good attention to detail, work well under pressure and be able to balance time and work with deadlines.
• Maintain effective communication within department, be responsive to training and instruction and apprise management of any concerns, suggestions and ideas. Stay aware of issues concerning general hotel operations.

Education or Certification

• Education:
  
  high school diploma/G.E.D. equivalent
• Related work experience:
  At least 1 year of related work experience in reservations or Front Office.
