Salary:$80,000 to $90,000

Other Forms of Compensation: Eligible for 15% Bonus

Founded in 2005 as Hudson Yards Catering, Union Square Events is a culinary and operations leader in the hospitality industry, partnering with a diverse portfolio of best-in-class clients. We produce one-of-a-kind catered events and unparalleled dining experiences in a variety of cultural, corporate, entertainment, and private venues throughout New York City and beyond.

Working as the Assistant Restaurant Manager,you will be responsible for overseeing the day to day restaurant operations. You will manage and lead a team of employees and you will be responsible for managing client relationships, profitability of the account, and talent development. We are currently seeking a person that is passionate about hospitality and able to provide luxury elevated service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Schedules
• Oversee POS Systems
• Manage hourly team
• Maintains excellent relationships with the client and guests
• Promote top guest service
• Works with the Chef and management team in creating nutritious and top-quality food
• Implements new culinary programs in conjunction with the Company marketing and culinary teams
• Acts as a liaison between the Company, Client, and the community

Preferred Qualifications:

• BS Hospitality degree preferred
• Min of five years of food service management experience required
• Fine dining or luxury hotel experience preferred in upscale enviornment
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Financial and business acumen
• Excellent communication skills
