Catering Supervisor - PPG Paints Arena - Restaurant & Catering

Position Summary

Directly overseeing the execution of the catering front line team and the general operation of the event according to the standards set forth by Aramark and PPG Paints Arena. The Catering Supervisor focuses on ensuring every customer within the event receives the distinctive premium service at each event that meet Aramark and PPG Paints Arena expectations. The Catering Supervisor reports directly to the Catering Manager and will directly oversee the Catering Servers as well as communicate with the Catering Manager and Executive Chef to meet the needs of the event.

• Arrive prior to attendant arriving to ensure catering areas are set up properly without taking attendant union
• duties away. Review BEOs with attendants so they understand the event & service
• Confirm room setup reflects layout
• Responsible for adjusting room layout (move tables, etc)
• Responsible for documenting fridge temps in 4B/Media
• Manage all standard game day catering areas (Press, Press Box, Wives, GM, Suite 66, Media Deck, Official Locker Rooms)
• Ensure all menu items are set up
• Menu tags for all menu items
• Check food presentation
• Interact and meet with Event Day Hosts (I think having a consistent ARA supervisor in additional to
• the attendant is these areas could be beneficial to us)
• Supervise staff setup through breakdown, allocate duties, & coordinate with Main Kitchen & Suites
• Kitchen for any Event Day Add-ons or adjustments that may occur
• Maintain safety & sanitation levels in all catering areas including pantries & storage areas
• Assisting attendants when deemed necessary to ensure smooth & efficient service
• Manage all additional catering on game day (Conference Rooms, Bar 119, Coors Igloo Club, VIPS, Visitor Locker Room, Executive Dining Room)
• Assist in EOM Inventory
• Attend BEO Meetings
• Other duties & functions as assigned by Supervisor or Manager

• Must have flexible availability and able to work all Penguins games including non-hockey events as needed
• Adherence to all established policies of the employee handbook
• Adherence to all established position performance requirements
• Lift, Move and Carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to Bend, Reach & Stretch as needed for service to guests and cleaning & maintenance
• Superior skills in organization, detail orientation and thoroughness of task completion
• Superior skills in customer service and personal interaction skills
• Basic Math, Reading and Keyboarding skills including PCs and telephones
• Must be knowledgeable of food preparation techniques
• Must be able to stand and walk during entire shift

• At least 1 year of Food Service Supervisor or other relevant experience
• At least 1 year of prior experience in Front of House food service operations
• All standard Aramark & PPG Paints Arena trainings, including:
• Techniques for Effective Alcohol Management
• Safety Topics (HACCP, Serv Safe, Environmental Awareness, Safe S.T.E.P., Personal Hygiene & Health, etc.)
• Customer Service
• Cash Handling and Point of Sale systems
• Order Entry system for Suite event day orders
