The On-Call PBX Operator serves as a key communication link between guests, colleagues, and resort departments. This position is responsible for professionally and efficiently handling all incoming and outgoing telephone calls while providing exceptional guest service. The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication skills, a warm and welcoming phone presence, strong multitasking abilities, and a commitment to creating memorable guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Answer and direct incoming calls in a courteous, professional, and timely manner.
- Provide accurate information regarding resort facilities, services, dining outlets, activities, and local attractions.
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns, ensuring appropriate follow-up when necessary.
- Process wake-up calls, emergency calls, and guest messages according to established procedures.
- Coordinate communication between guests and resort departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of guest information at all times.
- Accurately input, update, and retrieve information using hotel systems.
- Monitor and respond to emergency situations following resort safety and security protocols.
- Assist with administrative duties and support Front Office operations as needed.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor while handling a high volume of calls in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, call center, or hotel operations preferred.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong typing and computer proficiency.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain calm under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
- Ability to provide exceptional service while maintaining professionalism and discretion.
