When you work in Hawaii, in addition to learning about the functional aspects of running a hotel - like the proper way to make a bed or how to best handle luggage - it's critically important to understand Hawaiian culture and the spirit of 'ohana, or 'family.' When opening the first Andaz property in Hawaii, our team participated in Hawaiian culture training to help us understand what 'ohana truly means.
You will be responsible for leading and overseeing all operational functions of the hotel, ensuring alignment with Hyatt International's corporate strategies, brand standards, financial objectives, and guest satisfaction expectations. The role requires driving operational excellence across Rooms, Food & Beverage, Spa, Security, Housekeeping, Laundry, and Front Office while fostering a culture of high performance, service excellence, and associate engagement.
To ensure the smooth, efficient, and profitable operation of all hotel departments by maintaining brand compliance, delivering exceptional guest experiences, achieving financial targets, developing departmental leaders, and ensuring effective implementation of operational, safety, quality, and people management standards across the hotel.
QualificationsIdeally with a university degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum 10 years of progressive hotel operations experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership position. Strong knowledge of Rooms Division, Food & Beverage, Spa Operations, budgeting, forecasting, quality assurance, and luxury hospitality standards. Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, analytical, and people development skills are essential.
