The Sr Human Resources Generalist will work collaboratively with the leadership team providing
superior human resources services to our employees and the facility. This position will support a broad
range of human resource activities including employee engagement, performance management,
recruitment and selection, equal employment, employee relations, compliance training, and leadership
development.
Requirements- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 5-8 years of related experience; automotive industry or in a global manufacturing company experience preferred
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good organizational skills
- Experience with UKG Ready a plus
- Manage staffing needs for site by recruiting, interviewing, hiring and orientating new or transferred employees
- Recruit and maintain Engineering Co-Op / Intern program
- Process weekly payroll and all required reporting transactions
- Conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals
- Develop and coordinate various employee relations, plant activities and employee communications
- Administer hourly compensation program to ensure compliance and equity
- Communicate benefit information to participants
- Oversee and coordinate the FMLA (Family Medical Leave) program
- Administer policies, make decisions, and respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programs to facilitate consistency and equity
- Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism in dealing with all levels of employees
- Participate in community activities and build relationships within the community
- Facilitate legal and regulatory compliance to all internal and external reporting entities by preparing and maintaining required reports, handling unemployment claims, and conducting required investigations while maintaining confidentiality
- Conduct wage surveys within the local and national labor market to ensure the facility is competitive
- Conduct internal investigations and recommend level of discipline as appropriate
- Contribute to the development and implementation of site safety and health goals, objectives, rules and procedures. He/she will actively participate in an EHS Engagement Team
