Human Resources Manager - Sioux Falls
We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead and support all aspects of human resources operations. This role oversees key functions including recruitment, employee relations, compensation and benefits, compliance, policy management, safety, and talent management.
As a strategic partner to the business, the HR Manager plays a critical role in organizational success. This position helps strengthen our people-first culture by promoting company values, supporting employees and leaders, and shaping a positive, collaborative work environment.
Key Responsibilities Include:- Recruitment and Talent Acquisition:
Plan, direct, and coordinate hiring processes, including job postings, interviews, onboarding, and succession planning. Some travel required. - Employee Relations:
Serve to build trust, ensure fair treatment, resolve conflicts, and foster a positive work culture that promotes teamwork across the organization. - Compensation and Benefits:
Oversee competitive pay and compensation practices, benefits programs, and incentive plans to attract and retain talent. - Compliance and Policy Management:
Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws. Stay abreast of and adhere to best practices within the Human Resources discipline. - HR Policy development and implementation:
Develop, update, and administer HR policies and procedures; oversee performance management programs and ensure accurate, compliant employee documentation. - Strategic HR Planning:
Partner with executives to align HR strategies with business objectives and future staffing needs. Analyze workforce data and advise on organizational direction. - Performance and Leadership Development:
Support and champion performance management systems, training programs, and leadership development initiatives. - Safety Management:
Manage Safety systems and initiatives, coordinate employee safety, occupational health, and workers’ compensation programs. Adhere to best practices within organizational safety practices.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field - Experience:
7+ years of Human Resources experience required. Previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience strongly preferred. - Core
Skills:
Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills, problem-solving, planning & organization, analytical thinking, time management, and HR technology abilities. - Knowledge:
Expertise in the application of employment law, HR best practices, compensation and benefits, and work culture strategies. - Useful expertise relevant for this position:
Safety management, conflict resolution, presentation skills, payroll practices. - SHRM certification preferred.
