Your role and responsibilities
As an Associate Business Specialist (Talent) at IBM, you'll help organizations transform how they attract, develop, manage, and empower their workforce through technology‑enabled business solutions.
No two projects are exactly alike—you could support clients across industries including healthcare, financial services, retail, manufacturing, government, and more.
Work side‑by‑side with experienced consultants,HR transformation consultants, workforce strategy professionals, and technology specialists to solve real business challenges. We're not looking for experts—we hire for potential, curiosity, and a passion for learning. Through mentorship, certifications, structured learning, AI‑enabled consulting, and hands‑on client experiences, you'll develop the skills needed to grow your career as a future business and technology consultant.

Required technical and professional expertise
- Currently completing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Economics, ISor a related field.
- Foundational understanding of business processes, workforce management, human resources, or organizational effectiveness concepts.
- Understanding of how technology can improve employee experiences, workforce operations, talent management, and organizational effectiveness.
- Familiarity with data analysis, reporting, process improvement, or business problem‑solving concepts through coursework, projects, internships, or personal learning.
- High interest in skills‑based workforce planning, talent development, employee experience, or workforce transformation.
Awareness of emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence and automation, and how they are transforming the future of work, skills, talent, and employee experiences - Experience gained through academic projects, internships, case competitions, student organizations, research, or other practical experiences.
