The OPPORTUNITY

Ram Iron & Metal is looking for a talented and driven Human Resources Recruitment Specialist to join our Team. The Human Resources Recruitment Specialist, under the direction of the Director, Human Resources, will primarily be identifying and sourcing talent for the organization. They will also be responsible to maintain accurate, up-to‑date, and complete personnel records. This position will monitor human resources-related documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and relevance to business processes.

This role will also advise employees and managers on the interpretation of human resources policies, procedures, and programs. The Human Resources Recruitment Specialist will also be accountable for administrative and transactional items in the areas of Compensation and Benefits, Training and Development, and Employee Relations.

OVERVIEW

The Human Resources Recruitment Specialist will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of Human Resources policies, programs, and procedures. They will advise both Employees and Management on HR related matters to support the company’s organizational human capital requirements. The Human Resources Recruitment Specialist will recruit applicants, hire new talent, and guide them through their initial onboarding with the company.

They will also support benefits administration, process payroll, and handle associated questions or concerns.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • Degree or diploma in a related field.
  • Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) or working towards would be an asset.
  • 3 – 5 years of related experience.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable employment and health and safety legislation.
  • Ability to read and interpret legislation.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands.
