The University of the District of Columbia is seeking a Recruiting Coordinator to support the full-cycle recruitment process by maintaining accurate, efficient, and well-organized recruitment operations. This position is essential to building a strong foundation for talent acquisition through diligent administration of the applicant tracking system, sourcing support, and recruitment data integrity, while delivering timely and effective customer service to clients across assigned schools and colleges.

Job Duties
  • Coordinates Recruitment Activities and Candidate Processing
    Coordinates recruitment activities and candidate processing by supporting requisition and posting activity; reviewing applications and required documentation for accuracy and completeness; scheduling interviews; communicating with candidates and hiring managers; coordinating candidate slates; assisting with employment offers, background check initiation, and pre-employment processing; and ensuring recruitment activities move efficiently through each stage of the hiring process.
  • Maintains and Administers Recruitment Systems, Records, and Data
    Maintains and administers recruitment systems, records, and data by updating and auditing the applicant tracking system (ATS); ensuring postings, candidate statuses, dispositions, and records are accurate and current; maintaining recruitment documentation; supporting position and staffing data entry; and regularly reviewing system utilization to identify opportunities to improve data quality, efficiency, and recruitment operations.
  • Manages Full-Cycle Recruitment for Assigned Client Group
    Manages full-cycle recruitment for a limited assigned client group, including designated adjunct faculty recruitment, under the guidance of Recruiters and Talent Acquisition leadership. Partners with assigned hiring managers to understand staffing needs; develops and posts vacancies; sources and screens applicants; coordinates candidate review and interviews; supports selection and offer activities; initiates required pre-employment processes; and maintains communication with candidates and hiring managers throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
  • Conducts Candidate Sourcing and Recruitment Outreach
    Conducts candidate sourcing and recruitment outreach by identifying active and passive candidates through job boards, social media, professional networks, higher education resources, and other sourcing channels; supports development of qualified candidate pools for assigned searches and broader recruitment needs; and participates in job fairs, employment events, and other activities that promote the UDC employer brand.
  • Provides Recruitment Support and Customer Service
    Provides recruitment support and customer service to candidates and hiring managers by responding to questions regarding application status, recruitment procedures, documentation, timelines, and next steps; resolving routine recruitment issues; escalating complex matters as appropriate; and promoting a timely, consistent, and positive candidate and hiring-manager experience.
  • Develops Recruitment Reports, Metrics, and Process Improvements
    Develops and maintains recruitment reports, trackers, dashboards, and standardized workflows to monitor requisition status, candidate activity, time-to-fill, and other recruiting metrics; identifies gaps, inconsistencies, and bottlenecks in recruitment processes; and recommends improvements to strengthen efficiency, consistency, data integrity, and service delivery.
  • Supports Talent Acquisition Programs and Initiatives
    Supports Talent Acquisition programs, projects, and recruitment initiatives by assisting with recruitment events, employer-branding activities, process improvement efforts, special hiring initiatives, and other activities that advance University staffing objectives.
  • Other Duties as Assigned
    Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Management, or related field required.
  • At least 1-2 years of human resources or recruiting experience; experience in a high-volume environment preferred.
