Human Resources Director Village Green | Greenville, Ohio

Village Green is seeking an experienced, organized, and people-focused Human Resources Director to join our leadership team! If you are passionate about employee engagement, recruitment, retention, and creating a positive workplace culture, we would love to hear from you.

Position Summary

The Human Resources Director is responsible for leading and overseeing the day-to-day human resources functions within the facility. This role will work closely with facility and corporate leadership to support employees, ensure compliance, strengthen recruitment and retention efforts, and promote a positive and professional work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the facility's recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding processes

  • Maintain employee personnel files and ensure required documentation is complete and current

  • Coordinate orientation and new-hire training

  • Support employee engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives

  • Serve as a resource for employees and department leaders regarding HR policies and workplace concerns

  • Assist with employee relations, coaching, corrective action, and performance management

  • Monitor attendance and assist with related reporting and follow-up

  • Coordinate employee benefit information, leave requests, and other HR-related processes

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment regulations

  • Partner with facility leadership and corporate support teams on HR initiatives

  • Help foster a positive, supportive, and team-oriented workplace culture

Qualifications
  • Previous Human Resources experience required; healthcare or long-term care experience preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred

  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, employee relations, and employment compliance

  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally and appropriately

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR/payroll systems preferred
