About the Role:

The Senior Manager, People Operations is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the People function while ensuring a high-quality employee experience, strong compliance practices, and efficient execution of people programs and processes.

This role serves as a key operational leader within the People team and partners closely with the Head of People Operations to implement People strategies, drive operational excellence, and build scalable processes that support a growing organization. The Senior Manager, People Operations provides deep expertise in benefits administration, leave management, HR compliance, HRIS administration, and employee lifecycle operations while maintaining a hands-on approach to execution.

The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments and is comfortable balancing strategic thinking with day-to-day operational responsibilities. This individual must be agile, resourceful, detail-oriented, and willing to roll up their sleeves to get work done.

What You’ll Do:

People Operations Leadership
  • Lead and manage daily People Operations activities and employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, job changes, leaves of absence, and offboarding.
  • Ensure operational excellence across People programs, policies, and services.
  • Develop, document, and continuously improve People processes, workflows, service standards, and operating procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, automate processes, and enhance the employee experience.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex operational and employee-related matters.
  • Partner with Payroll, Finance, Talent Acquisition, and business leaders to ensure seamless execution of People processes.
  • Monitor service delivery, identify trends, and recommend operational improvements.
  • Support the development and execution of People Operations goals, priorities, and projects.
Benefits Administration
  • Lead administration of all employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, and voluntary benefit offerings.
  • Manage relationships with benefit brokers and vendors.
  • Oversee benefit enrollments, qualifying life events, and employee communications.
  • Lead annual open enrollment planning, communication, and execution.
  • Resolve complex employee benefit issues and provide guidance to leaders and team members.
  • Monitor benefit program effectiveness and support evaluation of future enhancements.
  • Ensure accurate administration and compliance of all benefit plans and programs.
Leave Administration & Accommodations
  • Serve as the organization's primary subject matter expert for leave administration and accommodations.
  • Administer and oversee FMLA, ADA accommodations, state-paid leave programs, workers' compensation, military leave, and personal leaves of absence.
  • Guide employees and managers through leave and accommodation processes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation and communication throughout the leave lifecycle.
