Position DescriptionThe Human Resources Generalist serves as a key member of the operations team and is responsible for supporting a broad range of human resources functions for The Valley College of Osteopathic Medicine. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this position supports the employee lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding through payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, compliance, and offboarding. The Human Resources Generalist will help foster a positive, service-oriented workplace culture aligned with the College’s mission of excellence in osteopathic medical education.
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, knowledgeable in HR best practices, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic academic environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Management, or related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience.
- Experience managing recruiting processes and applicant tracking systems.
- Experience processing payroll and administering employee benefits.
- Working knowledge of federal and Arizona employment laws and regulations.
- Proficiency with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), payroll platforms, and Microsoft Office applications.
