Overview
The Talent Advisor is responsible for sourcing, screening, and hiring top diverse internal and external talent to fill open positions. The Talent Advisor will work closely with hiring managers, functional leaders, and HR Advisors to build talent pipelines, deliver a superior candidate experience, and hire team members who align to the company culture, values, and key behaviors.
This position currently supports stores in Houston, San Antonio and New Mexico, hire must reside within these areas.
- Build talent pipelines of qualified internal and external candidates by using a variety of recruitment programs and sourcing techniques to include referrals, candidate reactivation, cold calls and job posting.
- Proactively use different resources for passive sourcing and data mining such as Linked In, Indeed, and reactivation of candidates in the Applicant Tracking System.
- Utilize job marketing/advertising, host virtual and onsite career fairs, in-store marketing, and industry networking with professional organizations and associations to increase the applicant pool.
- Develop and execute recruitment action plans for critical or tough to fill positions by working with hiring managers to identify creative ways to target pools of talent specific to the department, location, and/or region.
- Identify patterns and trends related to talent acquisition needs and develop appropriate talent acquisition solutions; example- seek out professional organizations or networks to source talent with a high-demand skillset.
- Focus on recruitment initiatives that emphasize the importance of the candidate experience, to ensure the Sprouts brand remains positive in the eyes of candidates, the community, and our customers.
- Support all Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategies related to talent acquisition.
- Screen and assess applicant’s education, experience, training, and other qualifications; presents top candidates to hiring
- Fully vet candidate qualifications through behavioral interviews, employment verification, reference checks, and hiring manager feedback prior to extending offers.
- Partner with hiring managers and HR Advisors to make compensation recommendations and present competitive offers to candidates, based on the position’s market data and budget.
- Act as subject matter expert in all areas of Talent Acquisition, facilitating open feedback and coaching hiring managers to select diverse, top talent.
- Partner closely with HR Advisors to identify internal successors for key positions within the organization and identify bench gaps that will require external sourcing.
- Hold Hiring Managers accountable for utilizing interview guides, following the selection process, and adhering to the service level agreement of candidate outreach within 2 days.
- Advise hiring managers in Talent Acquisition activities such as internal candidate experience, behavior-based selection, extending fair and equitable offers and Team Member retention.
- Develop effective partnerships with hiring managers at all levels, to enable a full understanding of their business and the specific requirements of their positions.
- Provide guidance and training to local leadership on external recruitment strategies.
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of recruiting/talent acquisition experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- Retail recruitment/talent acquisition experience strongly preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, analytical and decision-making skills, and ability to work on cross-functional teams
- Highly proficient in MS Office:
Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point - Customer service acumen and strong sense of urgency
- Ability to work independently, action oriented and strong work ethic
- Time management skills and ability to prioritize urgent tasks
