General Description: Support the unique needs of multiple client accounts utilizing benefits administration software.
Responsibilities- Provide best-in‑class service to manage and retain clients and drive growth.
- Identify appropriate benefits administration system specific to each client’s needs. Build and manage system for assigned book of clients.
- Serve as primary contact for the benefits administration system and applicable workflows. Includes accurate and timely eligibility, enrollment, EOI, billing, COBRA, and other benefit changes.
- Provide insurance and benefits administration technical expertise to clients and internal account management and sales team.
- Assist with carrier and vendor related issues. Act as the liaison between carriers and vendors.
- Manage carrier sites on behalf of clients as needed.
- Participate in client meetings regarding benefits administration system and processes.
- With guidance, communicate strategy/value on the benefits administration system and processes.
- Assist in developing employee communications. Includes enrollment procedures, benefit changes, and system clarifications.
- Provide resolution support and oversight for employee issues.
- Participate in peer review process as both a participant and reviewer of standard and complex deliverables.
- Follow department procedures to ensure a consistent employee and client experience.
- Work collaboratively with team members to support all clients as needed.
- Set up and maintain data integration files when automation is not available. Enter data timely and accurately per carrier/vendor instructions.
- Keep current on benefits administration technology and trends.
Skills and Abilities
- 1-3 years of customer service experience related to employee benefits.
- High School Graduate required. College degree preferred.
- Advanced understanding of employee benefits administration systems. Employee Navigator benefit administration or comparable preferred.
- Comfortable with internet‑based programs and Microsoft Office products.
- Detail oriented and able to prioritize.
- Ability to carry out complex tasks with many concrete and abstract variables.
- Able to work in a fast‑paced, team environment with minimal instruction.
- Able to define problems and generate potential solutions.
