Our Opportunity

We are seeking an HR Assistant to work in our Louisville HR Department. The HR Assistant will provide on-site administrative and operational human resources support for the Louisville facility. This position supports the full pre-employment process, including reviewing applications, screening candidates, coordinating interviews with hiring managers, preparing approved offer letters, confirming completion of background checks and required risk assessments, tracking drug-testing results, and issuing pre-adverse and final adverse-action notices as directed.

Responsibilities
  • Reviews employment applications, screens candidates against established job requirements, and schedules qualified candidates for interviews with the appropriate hiring manager in accordance with Company policies and equal employment opportunity guidelines.
  • Prepares and issues approved offer letters, communicates pre-employment requirements to selected candidates, and maintains accurate recruiting documentation.
  • Ensures required background checks are completed and that any applicable risk assessments are fully documented and routed for review in accordance with Company procedures.
  • Tracks pre-employment drug-testing status and results, follows up on outstanding items, and maintains confidentiality of all related records.
  • Serves as backup for new-hire orientation and policy-review activities, ensuring continuity of the onboarding process when primary coverage is unavailable.
  • Provides administrative support for performance-management processes by reviewing status reports and employee or leader lists, tracking review and goal deadlines, and sending reminders to leaders regarding outstanding performance reviews, goals, and other required actions.
  • Serves as backup for daily Time and Attendance administration, including clearing system errors with leadership, accurately applying PTO, running required reports, monitoring timecard audits and approvals, and helping move the pay period to a closed state for payroll processing.
  • Drafts and assists in the administration of Company’s PAF (People Action Form) process related to new hires, changes, and terminations, in order for global HRIS to be updated on a frequent basis.
  • Handles confidential and sensitive documents, and maintains their confidentiality.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications
  • Understanding of foundational knowledge of the principles and practices of Human Resources and related governmental rules, regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to demonstrate honesty, ethics, and integrity in fulfilling job requirements.
  • Requires effective oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present ideas, facts, and/or recommendations effectively.
  • Ability to respond effectively to and properly escalation sensitive inquiries or complaints.
  • Must have strong computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred
  • 1–3 years of relevant Human Resources experience and/or training required; some prior relevant work or internship experience strongly preferred.
  • Any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
