What You will Do:

The Payroll Manager oversees all payroll operations to ensure accurate, timely processing of employee compensation in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This position manages payroll administration, supervises payroll staff, maintains payroll systems, and serves as the subject matter expert for complex payroll calculations, including FLSA blended overtime rates. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, experience with minimum wage regulations, extensive payroll management experience, and hands‑on expertise with the Paylocity payroll platform.

  • Manage the end-to-end payroll process for hourly, salaried, exempt, and non-exempt employees.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of regular payrolls, off-cycle payments, bonuses, commissions, and adjustments.
  • Monitors the feeds between the Company’s operational systems to ensure accuracy with checks.
  • Administer and validate payroll calculations, including:
  • FLSA blended overtime rates
  • Retroactive pay adjustments
  • Bonus and supplemental wage calculations
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws.
  • Review payroll registers, audit reports, earnings, deductions, and tax filings for accuracy.
  • Serve as the primary administrator for the Paylocity payroll system, including system configuration, maintenance, reporting, and troubleshooting.
  • Partner with Human Resources, Finance, and operational leaders to ensure accurate employee data management.
  • Manage payroll tax compliance, garnishments, benefit deductions, and year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing.
  • Develop and implement payroll procedures, internal controls, and process improvements.
  • Research and resolve complex payroll issues and employee inquiries.
  • Prepare payroll-related reports and analytics for management.
  • Support audits and provide required payroll documentation.
  • Stay current with changes in payroll regulations and industry best practices.
Requirements

What We Are Looking For :
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification.
  • Experience processing payroll for organizations with 1,000+ employees.
  • Experience with payroll audits, compliance reviews, and system implementations.
  • Familiarity with integrated HRIS and timekeeping systems.
What You Will Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive payroll experience, including payroll leadership responsibilities.
  • Required experience calculating and auditing FLSA blended overtime rates.
  • Required hands‑on experience administering payroll through Paylocity.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state wage and hour laws, including FLSA regulations.
  • Experience managing multi-state payroll operations.
  • Knowledge of payroll taxes, garnishments, and benefit deductions.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis functions.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required
  • Must be able to work independently, provide excellent customer service, and demonstrate strong interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills. Flexibility and effective time management are required
  • Regular, predictable, and full attendance, as assigned, is an essential function of the job
