# Human Resources Generalist The HR Generalist serves as the on-site subject matter expert for recruiting, payroll, and a broad range of human resources functions. This role leads the site’s recruiting efforts, partnering closely with hiring managers to identify talent needs, build candidate pipelines, improve time-to-fill, and deliver a positive candidate and onboarding experience. The HR Generalist also ensures accurate and compliant payroll processing while driving HR initiatives that support operational success, employee engagement, retention, and a positive workplace culture.

As a trusted partner to plant leadership, the HR Generalist plays a key role in ensuring the organization has the right people in the right roles at the right time, while helping shape a caring, service-oriented environment that values empathy, integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
** ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
** Recruiting & Talent Acquisition:
* Lead full-cycle recruiting for hourly and salaried positions, from requisition approval through offer acceptance and onboarding.
* Partner with hiring managers to understand current and future staffing needs and develop effective recruiting strategies.
* Proactively source qualified candidates through job boards, social media, employee referrals, networking, and other recruiting channels.
* Screen candidates, coordinate interviews, support hiring managers throughout the selection process, and ensure timely follow-up with candidates.
* Provide guidance on candidate selection, compensation considerations, interviewing practices, and employment requirements.
* Coordinate pre-employment activities, including offers, background checks, drug screening, and other required processes.
* Partner with hiring managers to ensure a smooth transition from recruiting into onboarding and new-hire integration.
* Monitor recruiting metrics, including time-to-fill, vacancy rates, source effectiveness, offer acceptance, turnover, and recommend improvements based on results.
* Ensure recruiting and selection practices comply with applicable employment laws, company policies, and ASSA ABLOY standards.

Payroll Administration:
* Process bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Maintain payroll records and ensure data integrity in HRIS and payroll systems.
* Review and verify timesheets, wage computation, and other payroll-related information.
* Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
* Prepare and distribute payroll reports to HR, Finance, and other stakeholders.
* Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and timekeeping.
* Assist with year-end processes including W-2 preparation and distribution.
* Support audits and reporting requirements related to payroll.

Human Resources Support:
* Champion and manage HR programs in talent development, performance management, employee relations, compensation, diversity, benefits, safety, and employee experience.
* Facilitate and promote ASSA ABLOY events and initiatives to improve employee engagement.
* Provide counsel, coaching, and guidance to site leaders and employees.
* Oversee safety initiatives including reporting, investigations, claims, and countermeasures.
* Foster a positive workplace culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
* Communicate regularly with managers and employees to promote well-being and morale.
* Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, company standards, and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct.
* Administer HRIS processes related to onboarding, employee records, performance reviews, and succession planning.
* Monitor and analyze HR metrics to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
* Perform other duties and special projects as required.
* Ability to travel when needed.
