:
The Human Resources Generalist provides support across various HR functions, primarily in Compensation, Employment, and People Soft eFORM approvals. This position requires a high level of independent judgment in providing a wide range of HR support that includes classification and compensation administration, providing data, and oversight of employee offboarding.
Duties:
- Provides guidance on processing of eForms including ePRFs and staff ePARs. Serves as final approver for all hire ePARs submitted, including staff, faculty, temporary employees, and student hires. Will deliver ePAR training to campus community as needed.
- Evaluates positions for proper classification (exempt/non-exempt) and status within FLSA regulations and makes recommendations. Partners with hiring managers to develop job descriptions. Reviews descriptions for accuracy, makes recommendations, and drafts job descriptions as needed.
- Manages benefits-eligible faculty and staff off-boarding and separation processes including but not limited to processing ePAR in the People Soft system, initiating the separation process, collecting completed documents, personnel file breakdown, and distributing necessary documents to other HR functions. Serves as employment backup, including posting positions, answering questions, and initiating offers.
- Responsible for participating in and completing salary surveys, interpreting salary data, and performing analysis.
- Responds to data requests, including creating queries in People Soft HRMS to extract employee and job data. Serves as final approver for HRIS access request forms. Assists with audits, employment verifications, personnel transactions, and HR reporting. Supports compliance related to employment eligibility, required documentation, and other HR processes as needed.
- Participates in HR projects and cross-functional initiatives.
- Manages content and updates to Compensation and Employment websites in coordination with HR Leadership, and other related duties as assigned.

- Exemplifies the desired culture of the Human Resources Office, including the ability to work effectively as a team member with employees, management, and the Human Resources staff.
- Ability to complete assignments within specified deadlines accurately and efficiently.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a pleasant and personable demeanor.
- Must have strong initiative and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities efficiently.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to meet competing deadlines under pressure while maintaining accuracy with a strong attention to detail.
- Strong follow-through on commitments, using sound judgment with the ability to recognize and handle sensitive/confidential information.
