Emerging Technology Lead

As UiLab's Emerging Technology Lead, you will be the public face and driving force behind emerging technology adoption across the City of Logan.

This unique position combines technical depth with genuine curiosity and community engagement. You'll identify technology capability gaps across the city, then create and deliver programs that equip diverse audiences to thrive in the age of AI, robotics, and automation.

Working in a modern, hybrid environment with access to the latest technology, and supported by a professional, capable, and deeply committed team, you'll be an ambassador, educator, and advocate, building bridges between cutting-edge technology and the people and businesses that stand to benefit most.

• Lead UiLab's advocacy for emerging technology adoption across Logan
• Identify communities and industry sectors requiring technology upskilling
• Build relationships with schools, manufacturers, community organisations, and local businesses
• Represent UiLab at community events, industry forums, and public engagements
• Monitor emerging technology trends and assess their relevance to Logan's needs

• Design targeted technology upskilling programs for identified audiences
• Engage with residents, educators, manufacturers, small businesses, and community groups
• Develop audience-specific learning pathways from beginner to advanced
• Create scalable programs that can be delivered across multiple locations
• Monitor program effectiveness and iterate based on community feedback

• Create structured learning content covering emerging technologies including AI and Machine Learning, Visual programming and coding, Robotics and automation and other technologies as they emerge
• Tailor content to specific audiences including educators, students, and the manufacturing sector
• Develop and maintain multi-format training materials including video tutorials and demonstrations, interactive learning modules, written guides and documentation, hands-on exercises and practical assessments, workshop materials, presentation decks
• Adapt content for different audience levels, industries, and learning contexts
• Deliver engaging training sessions, workshops, and meetups across Logan

• Provide technical guidance to community and industry partners
• Support implementation of emerging technologies in local contexts
• Develop practical, real-world examples relevant to Logan industries
• Create technical resources that demystify complex technologies
