District Lead Technician
- Level One

Job Goal:
Assist the District Technology Coordinator in coordinating computer services and providing extensive technical support and training for all staff users across the district thus creating optimum utilization of the computer systems while maintaining full compatibility of services.

District Technology Coordinator Terms of Employment:
Compensation will be determined by the Superintendent based on the 110 Salary Schedule. This position requires an 8 hour day.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related technical field; or equivalent combination of education and professional experience..

* Minimum of three (3) years of experience providing direct technical support in a networked computing environment; K-12 or public sector experience preferred.

* Demonstrated knowledge of enterprise networking concepts, Windows server and client operating systems and enterprise endpoint management platforms; relevant industry certifications (CompTIA Network+, Microsoft or equivalent) preferred.

* Experience with mobile device management (MDM) platforms for administration of district-managed endpoints including computers, tablets and mobile devices.

* Demonstrated ability to serve as a project lead on technology deployments, equipment refresh cycles or mluti-site rollouts.

* Effective communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with technical peers, school-level staff and district administration.

* Such additional qualifications as the Superintendent or Chief Information Officer may find appropriate and acceptable.

Performance Responsibilities:

* Provides advanced technical support for district network systems, server infrastructure, communications systems, and end-user computing; serves as an escalation resource for complex issues requiring specialized expertise.

* Assists the Chief Information Officer in the management, maintenance, and repair of all computer systems across the district, including LAN/WAN infrastructure and school-based network environments.

* Administers and maintains the district's mobile device management (MDM) platform, including device enrollment, configuration profile management, application deployment, and compliance reporting across managed endpoints.

* Serves as project lead for technology deployment and hardware refresh initiatives, coordinating scheduling, logistics, imaging, and installation activities across district buildings.

* Manages vendor and warranty coordination for district technology equipment, including tracking warranty status, initiating repair or replacement claims, and maintaining service relationships with hardware and software vendors.

* Assists in the evaluation, testing, and implementation of new hardware and software to support improvements in district technology capabilities.

* Provides training and technical guidance to school-level technology staff to support consistent and effective use of district systems and platforms.

* Maintains accurate and current documentation of system configurations, network infrastructure, and technical procedures to support continuity of operations.

* Performs other duties as assigned by the Chief Information Officer or Superintendent.
