Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and innovative professional to join our Central Office team as a District Technology Coordinator. This full-time position is responsible for overseeing the integration and implementation of technology across the district to enhance educational outcomes and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of educational technology, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a district-wide technology plan that aligns with educational goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate the selection, acquisition, and deployment of technology resources, including hardware, software, and digital tools.
  • Provide training and professional development for staff to effectively utilize technology in the classroom and administrative functions.
  • Collaborate with educators to identify technology needs and develop solutions that support teaching and learning.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of technology initiatives and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations related to technology use in the district.
  • Serve as a liaison between the district and technology vendors, ensuring that contracts and services meet district needs.
  • Support the integration of emerging technologies and trends in education, promoting innovation and best practices.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues that arise within the district's technology infrastructure.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for district leadership and stakeholders on technology-related initiatives and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in educational technology, IT coordination, or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of current educational technology trends, tools, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in training and supporting educators in the use of technology.
  • Familiarity with data privacy laws and regulations as they pertain to educational settings.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
  • Certification in educational technology or related fields is a plus.
