Role Overview
A Payment Ops Trainer at Global Payments will create and deliver training, analyze training needs, partner with teams, and support clients and colleagues to maximize the value of payment solutions and technologies.
Responsibilities- Create and deliver engaging training programs across payment processing products, systems, technologies, and operational processes for internal and external audiences.
- Analyze training needs and develop, maintain, and enhance training content, materials, and supporting resources based on product enhancements, system changes, regulatory requirements, and brand mandates.
- Facilitate instructor‑led, virtual, and on‑site training sessions, translating complex concepts into practical, easy‑to‑understand learning experiences for diverse audiences.
- Partner with developers, program managers, and stakeholders to tailor training programs, ensuring content aligns with business objectives, operational requirements, and user needs.
- Lead training activities during implementation and onboarding projects, acting as the primary liaison between clients and Global Payments for all training‑related needs.
- Provide coaching, knowledge transfer, and ongoing support to colleagues and business partners to promote continuous learning and development.
- Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, assessments, and business outcomes, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain expertise across multiple products, technologies, and functional areas while proactively expanding knowledge of the payments industry.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 4+ years of experience in training delivery, instructional design, customer education, professional services, payments, financial services, or a related field.
- Experience delivering technical or systems‑based training to internal teams, clients, or external partners.
- Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information for various audiences.
- Ability to assess training needs, develop learning solutions, and adapt content based on business and customer requirements.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and build strong relationships with stakeholders, receiving little instruction on day‑to‑day work.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and sound judgment when navigating diverse business and customer situations.
- A collaborative approach with a passion for helping others learn, develop, and succeed.
- Bonus: Experience supporting payment processing, fintech, merchant services, financial technology, or software solutions.
- Bonus: Experience across the full training lifecycle, including needs analysis, design, development, delivery, and evaluation.
- Bonus: Training certifications or professional development credentials in instructional design, adult learning, or related disciplines.
- Bonus: Experience delivering on‑site customer training and supporting implementation or onboarding projects.
- Bonus: Proficiency in a second language.
