Data Analytics And Business Intelligence Intern

Shape data-driven decisions in an international logistics company.

As part of a project-based internship at our location in Mönchengladbach, we offer you the opportunity from September/October 2026 for a duration of six months to gain valuable practical experience in the field of data analytics and business intelligence within an international logistics company. You will support our team in the preparation, analysis, and visualization of company data and actively participate in an innovative pilot project.

You will receive exciting insights into modern business intelligence solutions and support data-driven decision-making processes in the company environment.

Data Preparation

• Cleaning and quality checking of data sets
• Identification and removal of duplicates
• Standardization of data formats (e.g., date, currency, and text)
• Handling missing or incomplete data
• Integration and harmonization of various data sources

Data Analysis

• Conducting statistical evaluations
• Identifying trends, patterns, and correlations
• Segmentation and structuring of data sets
• Analysis of relevant key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Conducting time series analyses
• Detection of deviations and outliers

Business Intelligence & Data Modeling

• Working with Power BI, Power Query, and DAX
• Data extraction and preparation using SQL
• Creation and development of dashboards
• Performing groupings and aggregations
• Development of dynamic filter and drill-down functions
• Prioritization and evaluation of analysis results

Reporting & Visualization

• Creation of meaningful charts and dashboards
• Development of heatmaps and time series analyses
• Support in the creation of management reports
• Preparation of data for internal and external reporting
