Summary: We are seeking a candidate with deep hands-on expertise in technical support, troubleshooting, and networking.

• Location: Sandy Hook, KY Onsite
• Estimated Duration: Long-term indefinite contract

Position for a Desktop Engineer/Support Tech located at Little Sandy Correctional Complex in Sandy Hook, KY. We’re seeking a knowledgeable technician with a high aptitude for customer service. Candidates must have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Desktop Support or a similar role. Experience must include installation, troubleshooting, and repair of devices in a Windows-based environment. Along with desktop duties, the selected candidate may be required to assist with security cameras, servers, and network switches.

This position provides support to DOC staff within the Correctional Complex (approx. 275 devices) & will also interact with or be among prison inmates as they are used for work detail, etc.

Qualified candidates must maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to lift and carry heavy objects or work in uncomfortable positions for extended periods of time. The candidate must be able to pass a DOC background check and an extensive drug test before starting. DOC holds training that can last up to 2-3 weeks. This training will equip them to work, adapt, and conduct themselves in a prison atmosphere.
