Accessibility Tester – Education

Our client is seeking an experienced Accessibility Tester to support their efforts in implementing accessible learning design strategies for PK-12 products. This remote, 6 month contract role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to digital accessibility compliance in the Education space.

• Perform detailed accessibility evaluations of digital content, including Word, PowerPoint, PDF, and web-based materials, using both automated tools and assistive technology such as screen readers and keyboard testing.
• Identify accessibility issues and generate comprehensive audit reports to guide remediation efforts.
• Collaborate closely with accessibility leaders to ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1+, WAI-ARIA, and ADA standards.
• Maintain and improve testing protocols, supporting Agile workflows and standardized approaches.

• Demonstrated expertise in conducting accessibility reviews of web-based and digital content.
• Proficiency with assistive technologies including JAWS, NVDA, Voice Over, Talk Back, Narrator, and Chrome Vox.
• In-depth knowledge of WCAG 2.1+, WAI-ARIA, and ADA standards.
• Ability to lead projects independently and act as a self-starter in a remote environment.
• Relevant certifications such as IAAP WAS or ADS, or DHS Trusted Tester certification, are preferred.

Eligibility requires working over 30 hours per week on an assignment lasting at least 10 weeks.
