POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Camstar MES Modeler to configure, develop, and support Siemens Opcenter Execution (Camstar) Manufacturing Execution System (MES) solutions for pharmaceutical and life sciences manufacturing facilities. The successful candidate will work closely with manufacturing, quality, automation, validation, and IT teams to configure electronic batch records, manufacturing workflows, equipment integrations, and production models that support GMP manufacturing.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience configuring Siemens Opcenter/Camstar using Modeler and understands regulated manufacturing environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Configure and maintain Siemens Opcenter Execution (Camstar) MES using Modeler.
  • Build and configure manufacturing workflows, process models, and electronic batch records (EBRs).
  • Configure manufacturing objects including products, routes, resources, equipment, containers, workflows, process steps, data collection, recipes, and electronic work instructions.
  • Configure shop floor transactions and manufacturing execution logic.
  • Develop configurable solutions using standard Camstar functionality while minimizing custom code.
  • Configure task lists, e-procedures, process instructions, and operator guidance.
  • Support integration with ERP, LIMS, historians, automation systems, and equipment interfaces.
  • Participate in requirements gathering with manufacturing SMEs and translate business requirements into MES configuration.
  • Support FAT, SAT, IQ/OQ/PQ, UAT, and production deployments.
  • Assist validation teams with documentation and testing.
  • Troubleshoot configuration issues and production support tickets.
  • Perform impact assessments for system changes and enhancements.
  • Participate in change control activities following GMP requirements.
  • Create technical documentation, configuration guides, and deployment documentation.
  • Support multiple manufacturing sites and MES implementation projects.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on Siemens Opcenter Execution (Camstar) configuration, with strong Camstar Modeler experience.
  • Track record of delivering through standard configuration rather than custom development.
  • Hands-on configuration of manufacturing workflows and electronic batch records, including process steps, path selectors, task lists, electronic work instructions, e-procedures, and data collection.
  • Experience modeling production and materials: products, routes, resources, equipment, containers, recipes, material tracking, genealogy and traceability, and shop floor transactions (including split/merge and resource/equipment allocation).
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or life sciences manufacturing.
  • Working knowledge of GMP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, GAMP 5, computer system validation, and GMP change control.
  • SQL proficiency for troubleshooting and data analysis.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with excellent communication when working with manufacturing and business stakeholders.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Siemens Opcenter Execution Core, plus Designer and Portal development.
  • SQL Server administration and familiarity with C# or .NET.
  • MES integration with SAP, DeltaV, Rockwell, PLCs, SCADA, LIMS, and PI Historian.
  • Greenfield MES deployments and multi-site rollouts.
  • Supporting validation documentation and testing (FAT/SAT, IQ/OQ/PQ, UAT).
  • SPC integration, production reporting, and manufacturing KPIs.
