The Product Analyst (PA) IT Lead for Med Tech R&D Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) at Johnson & Johnson is responsible for leading the delivery of sustaining system updates for the enterprise-wide PLM platform, PTC Windchill. This role requires a deep functional understanding of the PLM system solution and data architecture to enable the digital thread of product data to external systems and data consumers.
Responsibilities:
- Understand user challenges and system opportunities, translating them into detailed user stories, requirements, and bug reports. Create supporting documentation such as process flows, mockups, and system-specific functional design guidance.
- Evaluate requests for technical feasibility and alignment with existing solution architecture.
- Perform fit-gap analysis based on the current system and business process state against proposed requirements or business use cases.
- Lead a globally distributed squad as the Product Analyst (PA) by setting priorities, defining scope, and communicating the future roadmap/vision to developers, testers, and stakeholders.
- Educate partners on PLM capabilities and data architecture to foster a clear understanding across parties during requirement and solution definition.
- Drive resolution of production system issues, resulting in actionable next steps that resolve and/or mitigate the problem for business operations. Partner with technical and business partners to comprehensively analyze the root cause and impact and generate a holistic solution.
- Partner with Product and Platform Product Manager(s) to maintain a deep understanding of processes and priorities to align squad delivery with value and needs, reconciling backlog priority with competing stakeholder requests.
- Identify and manage risks and dependencies, escalating and communicating them effectively to stakeholders and leadership.
Qualifications:
- At least 10 years of experience in the PLM domain.
- At least 5 years of experience delivering technical solutions for business problems by driving decisions and alignment between business and technical partners.
- At least 5 years of experience with PLM in the Medical Devices industry.
- At least 5 years of experience with PTC Windchill PDMLink and Project Link.
- At least 3 years of experience with PTC Windchill MPMLink.
- Experience with at least 2 separate implementations of a Windchill-ERP integration.
- At least 1 year of experience with basic, practical knowledge of relational database architectures and querying Oracle databases using SQL statements.
- Experience leading a globally distributed and remote team.
- Strong understanding and experience in software development lifecycle process (SDLC) and agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, SAFe).
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical partners and to lead and empower teams to deliver.
- Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with cross-functional and global teammates, partners, and stakeholders.
- Independent working style with the ability to deliver results with minimal supervision.
- Ability to shift between multiple initiatives/projects.
