The Network Administrator IV will manage and support enterprise network environments, ensuring network stability, performance, security, and reliability. The role requires strong expertise in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, routing protocols, network infrastructure, SD-WAN, fiber optics, wireless technologies, firewalls, and network monitoring. The administrator will also support TDM-to-IP migrations, interpret network diagrams and schematics, perform fiber testing, and provide technical leadership and collaboration across network initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and support enterprise network environments to ensure reliable and efficient network operations.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
- Support Cisco, Juniper, and similar enterprise networking technologies.
- Support TDM-to-IP migrations and modernization of IP-based network infrastructure.
- Implement and support SD-WAN, fiber optic, and wireless LAN/WAN technologies.
- Support network security technologies including firewalls and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Monitor network performance using tools such as Solar Winds, Nagios, or similar platforms.
- Read, interpret, and maintain network diagrams and schematics.
- Perform fiber testing using tools such as OTDR.
- Troubleshoot network issues and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Collaborate with technical teams and provide leadership and guidance on network initiatives.
- ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience based on the following:
Master’s degree with 6+ years, Associate’s degree with 10+ years, or high school diploma with 12+ years. - Proven experience managing and supporting enterprise network environments.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or similar networking technologies.
- Experience with TDM-to-IP migrations and modern IP-based networking.
- Solid understanding of SD-WAN, fiber optics, and wireless LAN/WAN technologies.
- Familiarity with firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and network monitoring tools such as Solar Winds and Nagios.
- Ability to read and interpret network diagrams and schematics.
- Experience with fiber testing tools such as OTDR.
- Demonstrated leadership and team collaboration skills.
- Experience supporting FAA or National Airspace System (NAS) environments.
- Knowledge of federal network standards, compliance requirements, and security frameworks.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, Juniper JNCIA/JNCIS, or BICSI.
- Familiarity with FAA Next Gen or air traffic control modernization initiatives.
- Experience working on large-scale infrastructure or transformation programs.
