Due to the nature ofnewsmedia taking place 24/7, this position has non-traditional work hours.

TruePointuses an alternative work schedule (AWS) instead of a fixed work schedule.

Your schedulecanincludea mix of daytime, nights, weekends, and holidays during times of crisis. For this role, youmust be able to work4-5weekday mornings from 6:00 am-8:00 am (CT).

Candidates MUST RESIDE in the following states:
Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, Rhode Island,Tennessee, or Texas

Hours and compensation: 20-25 hrs/week, $25/hr.

• Insightful Reporting:Deliver comprehensive executive reports for senior leadership, including summaries of key stories, industry trends, and potential reputational risks or opportunities.
• Proactive Media Monitoring:Utilizeplatforms like Cision, Critical Mention, andNewsWhipto track and analyze media channels, staying attuned to industry trends and client-relevant conversations.
• Real-Time Updates:Identify and alert clients tobreakingnews, emerging issues, and critical conversations, providing timely, strategic recommendations.

• Expertise in media monitoring tools and a passion for staying informed about the latest trends.
• Strong analytical and communication skills to distill complex information into clear, impactful reports.
• A proactive mindset, with the ability toanticipateissues and provide strategic recommendations in real time.
• Flexibility to manage ad-hoc requests and delivertimelyupdates on high-priority matters.

• 1-4yearsof experience in media monitoring, social listening, or PR is highly preferred. Strong preference will be given to candidates with agency experienceorexperienceatamonitoringplatform.
• Commandexpertiseand experience in media monitoring and social listening tools, such as CISION,Meltwater,Critical Mention,News Whipand Sprinklr .
• Possess an analytical mindset and the ability to interpret data and trends toprovideactionable insights.
• Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
• Be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrate a commitment to meeting deadlines and delivering time-sensitive alerts and reports. React promptly toemergingnews stories and issues.
• Showcasea highproficiencywith Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint.
• Exemplifyanability tothink outside the boxand take the initiative upon themselves to solve problems as they arise.
