Peninsula Fiber Network, LLC (PFN), a growing fiber optic telecommunications company headquartered in Marquette, Michigan, is seeking an experienced and relationship-driven Manager of Critical Infrastructure Services.

This position supports the development, evaluation, and growth of PFN's mission-critical services, including Next Generation 911 (NG911), public sector connectivity, and other telecommunications solutions serving government, healthcare, education, public safety, and enterprise customers. You will work closely with customers, technology partners, vendors, and internal teams to identify opportunities, evaluate solutions, and support the long-term evolution of PFN's network services.

What You'll Do
  • Support the development and growth of PFN's critical infrastructure and telecommunications service offerings.
  • Serve as a technical and strategic resource for customers, government agencies, technology partners, and vendors.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, products, and service opportunities that align with PFN's business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with public sector organizations, technology providers, carriers, and strategic partners.
  • Assist with solution development, customer presentations, proposals, and business development initiatives.
  • Analyze and recommend build-versus-buy strategies, technology alternatives, and partnership opportunities.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, sales, and leadership teams to align customer needs with technical solutions.
  • Provide expertise regarding network resiliency, redundancy, service levels, and mission-critical communications environments.
  • Monitor industry trends, technology developments, and market opportunities, and provide recommendations to leadership.
  • Participate as a subject matter expert during customer escalations, major service events, and strategic planning initiatives.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in PFN's Marquette office or another approved work location, depending on business needs and candidate qualifications.

Periodic travel may be required to support customer meetings, industry events, technology evaluations, and business development activities.

Required Qualifications
  • 7-10 years of experience in telecommunications, network engineering, technology strategy, product development, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of carrier, fiber optic, transport, IP, broadband, voice, or mission-critical communications environments.
  • Experience working with customers, technology vendors, carriers, and strategic partners.
  • Ability to evaluate technical solutions and translate customer requirements into practical recommendations.
  • Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across technical, operational, and business teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting NG911, emergency communications, government, healthcare, education, or other critical infrastructure organizations.
  • Experience with technology evaluation, product development, service strategy, or telecommunications solution design.
  • Knowledge of highly available and resilient network architectures and service delivery models.
  • Experience responding to RFPs, customer proposals, or technology partnership initiatives.
