JobOverview
We are seeking a Computer Operator IV to join our team. You will independently manage and resolve complex, nonstandard system operations by devising custom workarounds and troubleshooting hardware or software errors. Furthermore, you will seamlessly integrate new applications and operational procedures, ensuring uninterrupted technical service delivery directly to end-users without requiring supervisory oversight.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Advanced Troubleshooting and Incident Resolution: You will possess the analytical capability to address nonstandard technical problems that mandate extensive manual intervention. When confronted with complex system output instructions or critical error conditions, the operator evaluates multiple alternatives to formulate an effective resolution. If standard operating procedures (SOPs) are insufficient to resolve the issue, you are authorized and expected to deviate from these baselines to engineer functional workarounds, escalating to higher tiers only when necessary.
- Operational Adaptability and Integration: The operational environment is dynamic, requiring you to exhibit a high degree of flexibility. A central theme of this role is the continuous and seamless adaptation to the frequent introduction of new software programs, system applications, and updated technical procedures into the production environment.
- Resource Management and Infrastructure Optimization: You actively monitor and manage physical and logical system resources to maintain continuity of operations. This includes dynamically reassigning IT hardware and system components to bypass faulty equipment or failing data transfer channels, thereby mitigating downtime and ensuring sustained operational capability.
- Autonomous Execution and Direct Service Delivery: Operating with a high degree of professional trust and technical authority, you function with minimal managerial oversight. A defining functional theme of this role is the independent execution and validation of tasks, where finalized outputs and resolved operational workflows are delivered directly to the end-users without requiring intermediary supervisory review.
- A minimum of five (5) years of related experience.
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field of study
- Any related certifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
- A current Secret clearance is highly desired.
